Assuming the need to provide two services – high-speed Internet and IPTV – to a subscriber connecting to the ONT. Each of the services comes to the OLT from the provider's upstream network in its own service VLAN:
A separate VLAN is assumed to be used to manage OLT and access and aggregation switches. In this guide VLAN 100 will be used as an example.
In this example, configuring OLT and switches is performed via CLI.
A PC or router can act as an endpoint. Below is the diagram showing configuraion details.

According to this diagram, subscriber router is connected directly to NTX-1 ONT. In the case of the NTX-SFP-100, however, the ONT in the SFP module form factor is intended to be connected to an access switch. VLAN access (for NTX-1) and trunk (for NTX-SFP-100) processing modes are configured on the ONT by OLT means and have some differences in configuration. This is discussed in more detail in the Configuring OLT and ONT in CLI section.
