The SMG-3016 hybrid platform is a device that can be used to solve various tasks, such as creating a trunk gateway, IP PBX, or session border controller.
The platform has a modular structure, which makes it possible to assemble a terminal device for specific needs, as well as to increase the capacity of the device as necessary.
The SMG-3016 has slots for installing two power supplies. Power supplies are available for both 220 V AC and 48/60 V DC. Power supplies can be combined.
E1 stream support is implemented in C4E1 submodules. Each submodule supports four streams. Up to four submodules can be installed in total. If the device's functionality does not require E1 streams (for example, when used as an SBC), the device can be supplied without C4E1 submodules.
VoIP submodules are used to encode the audio stream. Currently, SM-VP-M300 modules are available, which can process up to 128 streams encoded with the G.711 (A/U) codec with a packetization time of 20-60 ms. More complex codecs require more computing power and can be processed by the SM-VP-M300 module in smaller quantities.

At least one VoIP submodule must be installed for the SMG-3016 to operate.
The device can be configured and controlled via both the built-in web interface and the command line interface.
