Today's security challenges require the implementation of solutions capable of providing reliable facility protection and access control. An access control and management system (PACS) using facial recognition devices (FRD) and video surveillance is a powerful tool for solving these tasks. It not only prevents unauthorized access and provides monitoring of the territory, but also allows to manage access to different areas, registering the entry and exit of employees and guests. In real time, the system provides an opportunity for prompt response to incidents, as well as provides recording and archiving of data for further analysis. Integration with fire alarm systems and automatic notification of security guards about suspicious activities make this solution even more effective. The documentation describes the key components of the system, its advantages and opportunities for ensuring security at protected facilities.

Notes and warnings

Tips contain important information, tips or recommendations on device operation and setup.

Notes contain additional information on using and configuring the device.

Warnings inform users about hazardous conditions which may cause injuries or device damage and may lead to the device malfunctioning or data loss.

Glossary

PACS — access control and management system. It is a complex of technical facilities and software designed to control access of people and vehicles to protected facilities or to certain zones.

WTT — work time tracking. A system that allows tracking and recording the time spent by employees on performing their duties. The main purpose of the WTT is to ensure transparency and efficiency of labor cost management, as well as compliance with labor laws.

PACS controller — device that controls access to various objects or areas in a building, providing security and controlling the movement of people. PACS is used in various institutions such as offices, industrial facilities, government organizations and other facilities.

Turnstile  device designed to restrict the passage of people when it is necessary to verify the entry and exit rights for each passer.

PACS (access control and management systems) reader — device that reads information from code carriers (cards, fingerprint, electronic key fob) for subsequent data transfer to the controller.

Wiegand — wired communication interface between the identifier (card) reader and the controller, widely used in access control and management systems (PACS). It is intended for transferring the identification result from the PACS reader to the controller.

RS-485 — physical communication layer standard. It provides data exchange between several devices over one two-wire communication line in half-duplex mode.

Fire Alarm — interface that allows direct communication between the fire alarm system and other systems or devices in the building. The interface optimizes the functionality of the overall fire protection strategy by synchronizing all individual fire safety tools into a coordinated fire response protocol.
