Upgrading to the next version

Before starting the upgrade, it is recommended to create a backup: either a snapshot of the virtual machine (if NAICE is deployed in a virtualization environment) or an archive of the NAICE installation directory (default: /etc/docker-naice).

The upgrade from version 1.1 to version 1.2 is described in the following instructions:

Upgrading an installation deployed from an OVA image

  1. Download a database backup.
  2. Delete the virtual machine deployed with version 1.1.X.
  3. Deploy a new virtual machine from the OVA image in accordance with the following instructions:
    1. v1.2_3.2 Installation using an OVA/QCOW2 image (stand-alone).
    2. v1.2_3.3 Installation using an OVA/QCOW2 image ("1+1" configuration)
  4. Restore the data from the previously created database backup in accordance with the v1.2_3.2.4 Backup instructions.
