Question: What equipment is used for access control systems?

Eltex IPA-ER-020 PACS controller.

Question: What readers connect to the IPA-ER-020 controller?

Question: What equipment is used for video surveillance?

Any cameras with an RTSP link.

There are also Eltex cameras.

Question: Is it possible to add a video recorder?

This feature is not available in version 1.4. An Eltex video recorder is currently under development.

Video surveillance

Question: Where is the archive with the video cameras stored?

Question: Is the h.265 codec supported in the browser player?

For Windows, native support is provided through the Google Chrome browser.

For Linux, only through the evi-web-stream utility. for more information, see the Viewing a camera via WEB section.

Question: How to configure permanent recording on the camera?

Question: Videos do not play or freeze while watching in a browser.

In version 1.4, this option is not available.

Question: What format and resolution should be used for recording to the archive? From which stream is the recording made?

Recording to the archive occurs from the main stream with the characteristics specified in the camera.

Video analytics

Question: Can a virtual machine be used for video analytics?

The video analytics system requires a video card.

For the operation of video analytics, it is necessary for the system to recognize the video driver of the video card. Without this driver, it is not possible to launch video analytics.

To operate in a virtual environment, the hypervisor must support hardware passthrough of PCI/PCI-E devices, including the video card.

Compatibility with virtualization does not ensure stable operation of the video analytics module.

Question: How to configure license plate recognition with gate opening?

Question: What is the maximum possible distance from the camera at which an employee's face can be identified and recognized?  

Face recognition analytics has the following parameters:

1. Face size in the frame;
2. Sensitivity;
3. Threshold of passage intention;
4. Threshold for face recognition.

During normal operation, the recommended maximum distance between the camera and the person passing through the turnstile/door is 25-45 cm. However, it is possible to configure the analytics to recognize people from a distance of up to 4 meters, depending on your requirements, but in this case, the recognition accuracy will decrease.
